AR TALC is a high brightness micro particle talc manufactured by a revolutionary, new, engineered milling technique which creates a unique lamellar (platy) particle structure. These lamellar particles (high aspect ratio) function as a spacer /extender filling the sub-micron spaces between TiO2 particles providing optimal light scattering. One key advantage, thanks to the interaction of fine particles and high aspect ratio of this AR TALC T lamellae, is reduction grinding time of finished paints.
AR TALC T particles act as bride between binder agglomerates thus strengthening the paint film. For paints - this translates to a strong resistance to tension that builds up during the drying stage of the film significantly reducing cracking further helping with coating appearance and durability.
In addition, the AR TALC T platelets will also help with reduction of oxygen and water transmission. This enhancement will assist in protection for binders from UV radiation thus significantly improves salt resistance and unparalleled barrier properties to industrial coating, marine coating, coil coating, automotive coating
and exterior emulsion paints.
